Light Dark Matter and New Physics with Ultra-Low Noise Cameras – Ana Martina Botti (UdeM)

November 20 @ 11:30 am - 1:00 pm

The Canada Excellence Research Chair in Light-Matter Interactions (CERC-LM) is pleased to highlight an upcoming presentation in the Friday Physics Colloquium Series hosted by the Department of Physics at the Université de Montréal.

On November 20, 2026, Ana Martina Botti, Assistant Professor in the Department of Physics at Université de Montréal, will present a lecture entitled“Light Dark Matter and New Physics with Ultra-Low Noise Cameras.”

Dark matter remains one of the most fundamental unsolved questions in modern physics. This talk will explore how next-generation ultra-low-noise imaging technologies are opening new avenues for the detection of light dark matter and the search for physics beyond the Standard Model.(This description is based on the lecture title and Professor Botti’s research focus; the event listing does not provide a public abstract.)

📅 Date: November 20, 2026
🕚 Time: 11:30 a.m. – 1:00 p.m.
🎤 Speaker: Ana Martina Botti, Université de Montréal
📖 Title: Light Dark Matter and New Physics with Ultra-Low Noise Cameras

The CERC-LM community warmly invites students, postdoctoral researchers, faculty members, and anyone interested in particle physics, dark matter detection, advanced instrumentation, and quantum technologies to attend.
