External Evaluation
Decisions taken by the chairholder, as well as the recommendations of the Scientific Committee, will be supported by an external evaluation produced by a three-person committee, chaired by the external member of the Scientific Committee (Mr. Martin Mourigal). This committee will be made up of full professors at institutions outside Canada, who have no conflicts of interest with the chairholder or with members of the core team. The aim of this process is to ensure the international impact of the scientific programming and the effectiveness of the EDI initiatives. This external and independent evaluation will support the chairholder in making necessary changes to the core team based on members’ participation in CERC’s mission and EDI objectives. The committee’s advice will be based on the annual report submitted to the CERC program. The chairholder considers that this independent evaluation, by scientists with a visibility comparable or superior to that of the chairholder, is essential for the visibility and credibility of CERC activities.
