Geometric thermodynamics in open quantum systems: Coherence, curvature, and work

Professor Eric Bittner has published a new article in the Journal of Chemical Physics, introducing novel concepts from geometric thermodynamics applied to open quantum systems. His work provides new insights into system–bath interactions and demonstrates how holonomic work can be measured through quasi-static transport processes. As a valued external collaborator of the Canada Excellence Research Chair in Light‑Matter Interactions, Professor Bittner works closely with our team and contributes continuously to advancing research in this field. This publication marks an important step forward and highlights the strength of ongoing collaboration within our research community.
