SUMMARY:RQMP Materials Engineering for New Technologies Axis Meeting 2026
DESCRIPTION:The Quebec Network on Advanced Materials (RQMP) invites its members to participate in the Materials Engineering for New Technologies Axis Meeting\, which will take place on Wednesday\, October 28\, 2026\, at the Institut quantique of the Université de Sherbrooke. This year’s edition\, organized by Ludvik Martinu and Dominique Drouin\, will showcase the outstanding research carried out by the next generation of scientists. \n\nThis Year\, the Spotlight is on the Next Generation!\nThe program will focus on research conducted by graduate students and postdoctoral fellows\, providing an excellent opportunity to present innovative work\, build new collaborations\, and engage with members of the RQMP community. \n📅 Date: Wednesday\, October 28\, 2026\n📍 Location: Institut quantique\, Université de Sherbrooke\n💰 Registration Fee: Free of charge (a value of approximately $50 per participant\, generously covered by the RQMP) \nProgram Highlights\n\nOral presentations by students and postdoctoral researchers (selected through a call for abstracts);\nPoster presentation session (first come\, first served until capacity is reached);\nDiscussion sessions focused on RQMP equipment and instrumentation platforms;\nOpportunities to identify and develop new collaborative research initiatives within the network.\n\n🚌 Transportation from Montreal will be provided via charter bus departing from Polytechnique Montréal. \nCall for Abstracts and Registration\nResearchers wishing to give an oral presentation are invited to submit an abstract through the registration form. \n⚠️ Registration and abstract submission deadline: Friday\, October 9\, 2026\, at 5:00 p.m. \n📢 Notification of selected oral presentations: Thursday\, October 15\, 2026 \nThis event offers an excellent opportunity for students\, postdoctoral fellows\, and faculty members interested in advanced materials and emerging technologies to share their research\, discover ongoing projects across Quebec\, and strengthen their professional network. \nWe encourage all eligible members to register and participate.
